Togo

 

Location:
Togo is a small country of 600 Km long located on the west coast of Africa.

Total area:
56,785 sq km

Bordering countries:
Benin at Est, Ghana at West and Burkina Faso at North.

Climate:
Togo has two main types of climate. In the North, a Sub-Sahelian climate with a rainy season (May-October) and a dry season the rest of the year.

In the South, a climate subequatorial climate with two successive rainy seasons. The first from March to July, and the second from September to October.

National Parks:
Togo has many attractions for international travelers that enjoy animals in the wild, nature at its best, and the beauty of tropical forests.

National Parks and reserves in Togo are certainly its major attractions. The country has three national parks, ten faunal reserves and 84 forest reserves.

National Parks of note include Fazao-Malfakassa, lions' den and the Keran National Park. Reserves include Akaba fauna, Kpessi fauna and Aledjo fauna.

Fazao-Malfakassa National Park is home to countless birds, as well as primates and reptiles. Photo safaris are popular here during the dry season.

Keran National Park is home to a wide assortment of birds and mammals.
